My approach to this work is rooted in human rights and reproductive justice frameworks. Reproductive health is community health. Is education. Is housing equity. Is public safety. Is emotional health. Is environmental health. Is social justice. The body is political and understanding that political component is critical in the current rights-limiting landscape and an increasingly negligent medical system.
I believe that sex, sexuality and period education belong in the same environment as pregnancy and parenting education. Even though we exist in a culture that wants to keep them separate, they are one in the same.
I am committed to providing you and your support system with evidence-based education, gentle guidance, and confident reassurance in your innate ability to make the best decisions for your body and your family. I understand that giving birth and becoming a parent can seem extremely scary and overwhelming. Having a dedicated person to lean on and reach out to for information and guidance as you make the transition allows for a more enjoyable and less scary experience. I work diligently to counteract fear, overwhelm, and uninformed decision-making.
